Homeserve has a multitude of plan offerings currently hosting 17 system plans and just recently started offering one appliance plan. Homeserve’s plans will cover important systems such as plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling. You will also have the option of combination plans if you need more than one system in your home covered.

Electrical Plans

1. Exterior Electrical Lines ($5.79/month) – covers any short circuits and faulty electrical components that run on the exterior of your home.
2. Interior Electrical Lines ($11.99/month) – covers power failures and faulty electrical components within your home.

Plumbing Plans

1. Exterior Water Service Lines ($7.95/month) – protects your home’s main water line from damage such as age, corrosion and any shifting to the surrounding ground due to erosion.
2. Exterior Sewer and Septic Lines ($12.98/month) – protects your home’s sewer and/or septic lines from extensive clogs, cracks and total line breakage.

6. Interior Protection Plan ($44.79/month) – this plan will cover most of your interior systems including plumbing and drainage, electric lines, cooling and heating, gas and water heater.
7. Premium Home Protection Plan ($55.99/month) – this plan is the most comprehensive offering from Homeserve. It will cover all of the following: water heater repair and replacement, gas lines, interior and exterior electrical, heating and cooling systems, interior plumbing and drainage, water lines and sewer and septic lines.

Appliance Plan

A new offering from Homeserve is their appliance plan ($48.33/month). This plan will cover seven common household appliances,including:

• Microwaves
• Dishwashers
• Trash compactors
• Stovetops and ovens
• Washers
• Garage door openers
• Dryers
• Refrigerators

Homeserve USA State Availability

Homeserve is currently available in all 50 states to include Washington, D.C. as well. It is important to note that while coverage from Homeserve is available in your state, not all plans are offered in every area within each state. If you are interested in Homeserve’s coverages, it is recommended that you give them a call and discuss if the coverage you desire is offered in your zip code.

Other Benefits

When shopping for home warranty products, you will notice that the majority of companies will have what they call a service fee. This is essentially a form of deductible that will be paid to the repair technician that your warranty company sends to your home. One of the main benefits to choosing Homeserve for your warranty provider is that they will not charge you a service fee so long as you are only signed up under one of their Systems Plans.

A service guarantee is how long your warranty company will vouch for the repairs made by the technician they send to you. Common industry service guarantees will protect your repairs for 30, 60, or 90 days. However, if you have a home warranty product through Homeserve, they will guarantee the services provided for one full year.

Fine Print

Examining the details of your home warranty service can protect you against hidden limitations and nontransparent gaps in coverage. On that note, Homeserve generally will offer protection against normal wear and tear. Any damage or repairs needed outside of those circ*mstances will be up to their discretion.

Be sure to read the details on the systems that you need covered to make sure Homeserve will repair the majority of damages the system will face. Currently Homeserve offers a payout limit of $10,000 per system repair; any repairs exceeding that amount will have to be covered out of pocket.

Homeserve doesn’t offer any benefits within that 30 day window, for example, a discount on repairs that happen before your warranty sets in. Also, with Homeserve’s warranty options what you see is what you get. Homeserve doesn’t give its customers the ability to add on any additional coverage to any of their plans. Meaning you can’t bundle in protection for appliances you need covered on top of any of their system plan offerings.
